General questions:

1- Who runs this site?
I am the only admin at this moment. Vanessa, pen name : petitevanou. I own various web sites, you can check out my domain secretloft.com.


2- What is this site for?
This site has been created as a battlestar galactica fiction archive, where all the stories focus on any / all relationships and pairing.


3- What do you have on this site?
# Home will take you back to the main page, where you will find news and featured stories.
# Recently added, will show you the 15 latest additions to the site.
# Categories, will show a list of categories you can browse from.
# Authors, will allow you to see the names of all the members ( writers, readers) who have set up an account.
# Titles, will give you a list of the fictions, available , sorted in alphabetical order.
# Help, you will find all the Frequently asked questions.
# Search, allows to search the site based on several criteria.
# Log in, if you are registered, use it to log in to the site, otherwise register first. Click on Login, then you'll see the register option.
# Your account, if you are registered, you will have an account to manage, allowing you to add, edit stories.

4- How can I contact a writer ?
You simply need to find their name browsing the Author page, click on their name, and you will get their profile including a contact link! Don't abuse it please!


5- How can I give feedback?
You do not need to register ,click on reviews by the authors 's name, and select "would you like to submit a review?"


6- Do you accept affiliates, link recommendations ?
Yes I do accept affiliates, and will set up a BSG's links page, if you wish to see a site on that page let me know :)


7- Why do I have to log in every time I come back ?
This site is powered by eFiction, and it does not use cookies, that is why, you have to keep logging in, I can not change that , sorry.


8- Can I link to the stories hosted on this site ?
You can link to stories , not a problem at all.


9 -None of the FAQ answers helped me, what do I do ?
If you have not found any answers here, please email me.

Regarding submissions

1- What are the submission rules ?
These are the few guidelines you need to follow before adding your work to the database.

# This is a *BSG relationships* centered archive, the work you post here must be reflecting this.

# Please check the spelling and grammar of your fiction, and make sure it is presented clearly.

# Titles and summaries must be rated G , whatever the content of your fiction.

# If you need to add a chapter to a story, go to your account and choose "edit story" to not add a new one.

# Make sure you give the correct rating, check the help page if unsure.

# Do NOT WRITE IN CAPITALS (= SHOUTING) and do NoT wrITe liKe THiS EiTheR, thanks, it is just plain annoying and rude.

# All chapters must have at least 800 words. Combine them if needed.

# Completed stories with less than 800 words must be posted in the ficlet category.

# When your story is completed, it must be marked as such, please go to your account and edit the story. ( click on NO next to complete, which will then change into YES)

# Text only, no images please.

3 - How do I format my story ?
you may use a text editor, and add html tags for *bold* and *italic* then all you need to do is paste the content in the submission box. You may also upload html or text files. However do not use Word files as it will not display the text correctly.


4 - I do not know which rating to choose ?

Ratings explained:

G Appropriate for all ages
PG / PG-13 Some material may not be appropriate for children, may contain some nudity/ violence
R May contain sex and violence and language , which would be inappropriate for anyone under 17
NC-17 May contain graphic sex, must be 17 to read


5 - How do I mark my fiction as complete?

Go to your account, then edtit/delete stories, next to the title of your fiction, you will see the word complete followed by NO. Click on NO, which then turns into YES.


Registration and account management

1- How do I register ?
Click on Log in, then register, once the form is sent , you will receive an email with a password.


2- I registered, but never got a password.
It might be that you have used a wrong email address. Email me I'll delete your account, and you can try again.


3- How do I edit, delete ... one of my stories ?
Go to Your account, and choose the appropriate category.


4- How do I delete a review I don't want?
Go to your account, then manage reviews, you will find a delete option next to each review.
